Awais also leads the international effort on developing a Cyber Security Body of Knowledge (CyBOK). Professor Awais Rashid’s research spans software engineering and cyber security. In particular, Professor Rashid investigates software modularity techniques that underpin adaptable, evolvable and resilient software. The subject ties in with Professor Rashid’s security research, which centres around developing tools and techniques capable of adapting to changing threat landscapes.
Professor Rashid is particularly interested in the security of cyber-physical systems, such as industrial control systems and Internet of Things. He is also a keen researcher of adversarial and non-adversarial cyber security behaviours.
